The occupiers want not only to join the captured territories of southern Ukraine to the temporarily occupied Crimea but also to integrate them into the Russian economic space. The elaboration of the relevant plan with a deadline of at least 2030 was announced on 1 May by Oleg Kryuchkov, the information policy adviser to the so-called “head” of Crimea. The Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine released a corresponding report.

At the same time, the Russian occupation regime is trying to convince the local population of the ultimate control over the occupied territories. In particular, in Henichesk, Kherson region, the newly appointed “town council chairman” Andriy Klochko organised a solemn raising of the flag of the Russian Federation on 1 May. However, the townspeople ignored the ruscist “solemn occasion.”

Several private enterprises in Russia’s Rostov region received orders to produce seals and stamps for the occupation administrations of Mariupol. The list of institutions that will receive new “attributes” includes educational institutions, hospitals, police stations, registry offices, and administrative institutions, even though most of them are now completely destroyed by Russian troops.

The ordered stamps and seals contain the inscription: “Russia, Republic of Donbas, Mariupol, Military-civil administration.”

The ruscists announced that similar stamps and seals would be made for occupied Kherson in June.

Currently, the preparations for May 9 are being held in Mariupol: the occupiers are searching for and eliminating the bodies of killed civilians. For this purpose, three mobile crematoria have been operating in the city since 15 April.

The service members of the occupier’s army are being told that the timeframe of the so-called “special military operation” is set until September 2022.
