NATO

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine made the first-ever purchase of munitions without intermediaries via the NATO Support and Supply Agency. The mission of Ukraine to the North Atlantic Alliance reported this on Twitter.

“Congratulations to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine on its independent entry into international and competitive markets! The first procurement in the history of the Ministry of Defence without intermediaries of military commodities via the NATO Support and Supply Agency for the needs of the Armed Forces has been completed,” the statement reads.

Meanwhile, Secretary-General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg announced that the Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Georgia would take part in the Alliance’s online meeting on 2 December. According to him, a “separate meeting” will be held with the representatives of these two states to “discuss the security situation in the Black Sea region and our support for these two valuable partners.”

“We work closely with our partners, whom we esteem in the Black Sea region, Ukraine and Georgia,” said the NATO Secretary-General, adding that the Black Sea region is strategically important for the Alliance.
