On 22 March 2024, Maxime Binet spoke with Marta Barandiy, the Head of the NGO Promote Ukraine and the Head of the European list of the new Dutch-speaking party Voor U, on the show “Café sansfilter.”

She reminded us that the war is already going on not only in Ukraine, but also in Europe “…in the form of cyber attacks, disinformation, GPS attacks, and chemical attacks. The FSB has killed people in Berlin.”

According to Ms. Barandiy, who is also the editor-in-chief of the Brussels Ukraїna Review, Europeans should not slow down their assistance to Ukraine: “We must strengthen the defense and give more weapons to Ukrainians,” she said.

Answering a question about Emmanuel Macron’s recent statements, Marta said, “I have a lot of respect for European leaders and Macron, but Ukraine has never asked for European troops to enter its territory; it needs weapons.”

Maxime Binet asked Ms. Barandiy whether Ukraine is ready to negotiate with Russia and whether it can consider the possibility of losing Donbas or Crimea, and the answer was clear: “Ukrainians have lost too much to negotiate anything. If we hold talks today, we will give Putin time to prepare the next attack. He has been doing this since 2014.”

In addition, the guest of the program added that the Russian president is preparing “the economy, industry and its allies for an attack on Europe.”
