DEThe European mass media has written about the participation of Promote Ukraine founder Marta Barandiy in the European Parliament elections.
“I thank all the media for covering my running for the European Parliament together with Voor U,” she said.
Promote Ukraine founder runs for EP: Ukrainian-Belgian Marta Barandiy, who founded the Brussels-based Ukrainian civil society NGO Promote Ukraine, is running for the European Parliament for a small Flemish party called Voor U. “It’s a new party and it’s gained a lot of support from citizens,” she told me, saying optimistically that she sees her chances of getting elected as 50/50. Her campaign van could be spotted on Rue de la Loi on Thursday.
Marta Barandiy, Promote Ukraine association president, is on the European list of Voor U, the movement of Flemish parliamentarian Els Ampe (ex-Open Vld).
The Voor U new movement will appear in every province during the 9 June 2024 elections. The movement collected 7,000 signatures of citizens and is submitting lists to Europe, the House of Representatives and the Flemish Parliament.
