Ukrainian diplomats and the staff of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine planted more than 100,000 tulips in honour of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes near the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on the Mykhailivska Square and on the Independence Square in Kyiv.

The Netherlands presented Kyiv with its national flower to commemorate the deed of heroes of the Revolution of Dignity.

During the blooming period in April 2021, a number of cultural, economic, and investment events are planned to be held in Kyiv, including the Tulip Festival and the Ukrainian-Dutch Business Forum.

The tulip planting ceremony was attended by the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Amsterdam Emiel Bernard de Sévrèn Jacquet, who initiated the event, staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine.
