The Department of Defense Cooperation of the US Embassy in Ukraine received equipment worth more than $ 60 million, including Javelin anti-tank missiles, for transfer to Ukrainian partners.

The US Embassy in Ukraine informed about it, Eurointegration.com.ua reports.

“US security assistance and cooperation with Ukraine during COVID-19 continue! Yesterday, the Department of Defense Cooperation of the US Embassy received equipment worth more than $ 60 million for transfer to Ukrainian partners, including walkie-talkies, ammunition, and anti-tank missiles Javelin,” the Embassy said in a statement on its official Facebook page.

“The United States stands firmly on Ukraine’s side in support of its sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of Russian aggression,” the statement added.

In early October, the US State Department approved the sale of Javelin to Ukraine for $ 39 million, the contract provided for the sale of 150 missiles and related equipment.

Javelin – the main anti-tank weapon of the US Army and Marines. It allows a soldier or Marine to shoot and move quickly as the missile makes its way to the target. This is the second batch of American weapons received by the Ukrainian army.
