From October 2022 to March 2023, russian aggression against Ukraine led to a distressing series of blackouts that devastated the country’s energy infrastructure. According to “Ukrenergo” over 1200 strikes targeted various energy system objects.

Civilians, children suffered from this, and it was particularly difficult to maintain the operation of medical facilities. Hospitals, crucial sources of aid in wartime conditions, also suffered from electricity supply disruptions.

By the following summer, the situation significantly improved, and power outages were nearly eliminated. This not only demonstrated the resilience of the Ukrainian people but also underscored the importance of national resolve and collaborative efforts to restore normalcy during times of war.
