Coordination with international partners on UN peacekeepers in Donbas

The annual national program under the auspices of the NATO-Ukraine Commission for 2020 (ANP) provides for consultations on modalities for the deployment of a peacekeeping mission under the UN auspices in the temporarily occupied territories of Donbas.

The text of the program is published on the website of the President of Ukraine.

“Consultations on modalities for the deployment of an international peacekeeping mission in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts under the auspices of the United Nations (deadline – 2020),” the document reads.

“Goal 1.1.3. Ukraine, in coordination with international partners, uses political and diplomatic means to restore its territorial integrity in the face of armed aggression by the Russian Federation”.

In the document, it also plans to intensify cooperation with NATO in 2020 to strengthen security in the Black and Azov Seas and the Kerch Strait, as well as to attract additional support to counter Russia’s armed aggression.
