Overview of Promote Ukraine history
Promote Ukraine is a non-profit organisation established in Brussels in 2014 in order to advocate interests of Ukraine, and to encourage cooperation, cultural and informational exchange between EU and Ukraine.
Since February 2022, in response to the Russian full scale war against Ukraine, Promote Ukraine has also taken up functions of humanitarian support to the Ukrainians impacted by the war and assisted with equipment, materials and financial support to Ukrainian armed forces and territorial defense. Promote Ukraine is financed by charitable contributions on top of being supported by volunteering efforts.
Promote Ukraine is closely cooperating with EU institutions; most recently European parliament granted its space at Station Europe building for Promote Ukraine to host a Ukrainian civil society hub. (Inauguration of the Ukrainian civil society hub | News | European Parliament (europa.eu))
