Prostir from Promote Ukraine Organises Hikes in Stunning Belgium Locations

During the past two months, Prostir from Promote Ukraine has organised two hikes in stunning locations across Belgium. One hike was at the coast in the Zwin Natuur Park, while the other was in the forests of the municipality of Saint-Hubert. Despite the harsher weather compared to the summer season, we keep exploring the beauty of Belgium and building our Ukrainian community.

In October, we invited everyone to join us for a relaxed visit to the park of Zwin. We walked in the dunes and learned a lot about the lives of local and migratory birds that we could watch through powerful monoculars. Thanks to the Iedereen Verdient Vakantie organisation and the help of Rap op Stap Oostende, our small group enjoyed a nice discount on the entrance ticket price. Iedereen Verdient Vakantie is a fantastic initiative that helps citizens with limited budgets to go on the holiday they dream about.

In November, we discovered a charming forest with a marked path around Mirwart Castle, which turned out to be conveniently connected by train. The weather and the scenery were stunning: we found ourselves in the apogee of autumn with exploding colors and fast-flowing rivers full of rainwater. The best part of this location is that there is so much more for us to discover, so we are certainly coming back next year.
