Today Marks Ukraine’s Day of Unity

Today, 22 January, is Ukraine’s Day of Unity, a day that emphasises the importance of the unification of the people, their strength, and their endurance on the way to independence.

In 1919, the Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv witnessed a historic event, when Ukrainians from Western and Eastern Ukraine recognised their unity under the banner of independence.

Unity Day is a time to honor the heroes of the past and recognise that in unity we find strength to overcome trials.

Ukraine is and will be United and Independent!
