Macron: Europe Facing New Type of War Due to Russia and COVID-19 Vaccine

President Emmanuel Makron

President of France Emmanuel Macron believes that Europe is facing a new type of world war due to the coronavirus pandemic and the actions of Russia and China over vaccines. According to him, these countries try to influence the course of events with their vaccines.

Macron emphasises that Europe needs to be independent in the manufacture of coronavirus vaccines.

“We have created an opportunity to manufacture a vaccine. We are in the process of building capacity for the production of second-generation vaccines,” the French leader said.

Macron underscores that the EU has developed a comprehensive policy that will make it possible to reach the production capacity of about 2-3 billion doses of vaccines per year  in the second half of 2021.

“We will be able to meet our needs and export en masse,” the president said.
