More than $300 million has already been raised for the needs of Ukraine through the United24 fundraising platform which has been operating since May 2022.
“These days, our charity platform United24 crossed the $300 million mark in donations from people from different countries of the world – more than a hundred countries, thousands and thousands of donors,” President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his video address.
He emphasised that ordinary people and private companies help buy drones for the Ukrainian military, ambulances, repair hospitals and infrastructure facilities.
“And this is just one Ukrainian charity platform. One among various initiatives that all together consolidate the world,” the President of Ukraine stressed.
As a reminder, United24 is a fundraising platform initiated by Zelensky and the main window for collecting donations in support of Ukraine.
Many celebrities have joined the platform. Actress Barbra Streisand, actor Mark Hamill, Canadian actress Catherine Vynnyk, Imagine Dragons band, Balenciaga creative director Demna, actor and director Liev Schreiber, director Michel Hazanavicius, NASA astronaut Scott Kelly, historian Timothy Snyder, country singer Brad Paisley, outstanding Ukrainian athletes Elina Svitolina, Andriy Shevchenko, Oleksandr Usyk and others are among its ambassadors.
