Almost 15 kg. of explosives with detonators and anti-tank mines were among the ammunition seized in the Donetsk region and Kherson city. In particular, a cache of weapons was found in the Donetsk region, which had been set up by members of illegal armed formations of the so-called “L/DPR” for sabotage operations in the region in 2014.

While inspecting the cache, law enforcement officers seized:

  • Almost 15 kg. of explosives in TNT equivalent
  • Four detonators
  • One hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher
  • Two TM-62m antitank mines
  • Two 120mm mortars
  • One anti-personnel non-directional mine
  • More than 1,000 5.45mm cartridges.

In Kherson city, the SBU officers exposed a cache of military weapons, which was hidden on the outskirts of the regional centre. Two boxes of ammunition for small arms and two fuze grenades were seized among other things.

Urgent investigative and operational actions are underway to establish all the circumstances of the illegal activity and to prosecute those involved in crimes against the state security of Ukraine.
