Soldiers Break the Regime of Silence in Donbas

The Russian armed forces again carried out several provocations in Donbas. This was reported by the press headquarters of the Joint Forces Operation. In particular, soldiers fired several small arms near Mariinka, contrary to peace agreements within the Tripartite Contact Group.

In addition to shooting, near Mariinka, soldiers used a hand-held, anti-tank grenade launcher to remotely mine the area with a single POM-2 anti-personnel mine.

In addition, the report notes that a UAV flight of “quardocopter” of soldiers was noticed in the Azov Sea region. The means of electronic warfare of the Joint Forces Operation suppressed the channels of its control and navigation, which made it impossible for the drone to work.

In total, for the past 24 hours, Ukrainian servicemen have recorded two violations of the declared ceasefire. Ukrainian units did not respond with weapons.

It should be recalled that for the evening of 29 August, the OSCE Mission to Ukraine had recorded a total of 727 ceasefire violations in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts since the  beginning of the ceasefire on 27 July. In particular, 111 explosions, 2 unidentified ammunition, 12 flares and 383 bursts and shots were noticed.
