The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and the Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany Heiko Maas discussed the prospects of the meeting of the Quartet of Normandy. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry.

The parties agreed that such a meeting of the four ministers is extremely necessary in the coming months.

In addition, Dmytro Kuleba expressed special gratitude to his German counterpart for the readiness of the German Government to provide Ukraine with 18 ventilators saying, “For us, this is a real friendly gesture and a show of German solidarity in combating the coronavirus pandemic.”

Kuleba and Maas shared their thoughts on the situation in Belarus. The Foreign Minister of Ukraine informed his German colleague about the detention by the Belarusian authorities of two Ukrainian human rights activists of the public organization Vostok SOS, Yevhen Vasyliyev and Konstantyn Rieutsky. Ministers agreed to liaise on the situation.
