Ukraine launches TV Series About Family Violence

TV series Ukraine

The shooting an educational series about family violence took place, thanks to the close cooperation of the Interior Ministry, the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the National Police of Ukraine (NPU) with the Canadian-Ukrainian Police Development Project (CUPDP) support.

The mini-series tells about the types of domestic violence, the punishment for perpetrators, and ways of bullying resistance with online tools developed by the team of the Ministry of Internal Affairs / NPU under the leadership of Deputy Interior Minister Kateryna Pavlichenko.

The educational video series includes five episodes:

  1. What domestic violence means and types of violence
  2. Whom one should address for aid
  3. Legislation and police powers
  4. Safety planning for victims
  5. How to help victims

The experts and stars of the series were police officers, statesmen and celebrities.

The project was funded by the Government of Canada.
