DEWestern countries have agreed to cut the Russian Federation off from the SWIFT payment system and have begun preparations for the implementation of this sanction, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba posted on Facebook.
“The official decision has not been issued yet, but technical preparations for the adoption of the decision and implementation of this sanction have already begun. We have been making efforts and we’ve made it. The whole vertical of Ukrainian diplomacy worked – from the President of Ukraine to the attaché at the Ukrainian embassy, ” the minister said.
He thanked thousands of people, including the Ukrainian diaspora, for putting pressure on their governments to support the decision.
“Ukrainian diplomats dedicate this victory to all defenders of Ukraine,” Kuleba added.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Turkey had imposed a ban on the passage of Russian warships in the Black Sea.
