Brussels, 12 December 2023 — The Grand Live Piano concert “Ukraine’s Ode to Dignity” will take place inner courtyard of the Hôtel de Ville on the Grand Place at 16:00 on 12 December. Organised by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, Olha Stefanishyna, within an umbrella campaign “Embrace Ukraine. Strengthen the Union” and Promote Ukraine NGO with the support of the Brussels City, the concert aims to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity.

The Revolution of Dignity symbolises Ukraine’s unwavering commitment to democratic principles and European values. A decade ago, Ukrainians rallied for their right to a European future, standing against corruption and advocating for freedom, democracy, and human rights. In the face of adversity, they demonstrated the strength of the European idea, inspiring millions globally. Despite challenges, Ukraine’s resilience, reforms, and integration efforts exemplify the enduring pursuit of a united Europe, especially during the ongoing war launched by Russia.

The celebration will unfold using the universal language of music, accessible to all. In 2013, the Revolution of Dignity witnessed music echoing through Maidan’s barricades. To immerse yourself in the ambiance and emotions of that pivotal moment, Ukrainian musicians will recreate the tunes resonating on Maidan Square.

Join us to listen to famous Ukrainian compositions performed by talented Ukrainian musicians, Nataliya Chepurenko, a pianist and the founder of the Brussels International Music Academy, and soloists of the Camerata Brima ensemble Olga Artemenko and Anastasia Varga.
