DEAhead of the release of the European Commission’s conclusion on Ukraine’s application for EU membership, activists held a rally in the European Quarter of Brussels in support of granting Ukraine EU candidate status.
As Ukrinform reports, the activists decided to create a symbolic EU-Ukraine human chain around the European Commission’s Berlaymont building. The event was live-streamed on the YouTube channel of Suspilne.
According to the organisers, members of NGO Promote Ukraine, Ukraine is at the forefront of the struggle for European values and peace in Europe. Every day, Ukrainians give their lives for the independence of their country and its European future, precisely for the European values on which the European Union is founded.
