This September, Promote Ukraine is launching a mentoring program for Ukrainians in Belgium!

One-on-one mentoring sessions with experts for Ukrainian women in Belgium under 35 y.o.
An individual development plan tailored to your goals.

One-day workshops on psychological (self)help, stress management, financial literacy, and realizing ambitions.

The goal is to support psychological resilience, career development, social connections, and successful integration of Ukrainians in Belgium.

Networking meetings are open to everyone (by appointment) and will be held at the Prostir center on Blvd. Emile Jacqmqin 81 or in the office of Promote Ukraine in Rue de la Loi 26.

Our experts

Anastasia Ariefieva

Anastasia Ariefieva is a clinical psychologist who holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven) and a federal license to practice clinical psychology in Belgium. She has been living in Belgium since 2014.

Since 2022, Anastasia has dedicated her professional work to supporting Ukrainians under temporary protection in Belgium. From 2022 to 2024, she worked at the Flemish mental health center CGG (Centra Geestelijke Gezondheidszorg), where she provided individual therapy, collaborated with psychiatrists and social workers to ensure integrated care, and visited the Red Cross center Ariane on a weekly basis.

In 2024, Anastasia also began her private practice within Belgium’s first-line psychologist program (eerstelijnspsychologen), offering both individual and group therapy. Over the course of her work, she has provided psychotherapeutic support to more than 300 Ukrainians.

Between 2022 and 2024, Anastasia pursued advanced training in psychotrauma therapy at the Catholic University of Leuven, recognizing it as the most pressing issue faced by Ukrainians under temporary protection.

Marta Barandiy

Marta Barandiy is multilingual legal expert, political strategist, and civil society leader with a Ph.D. in International Law and over 20 years of progressive experience in international governance, rule of law, European institutional advocacy, and democratic transition support. Recognized for bridging legal scholarship and political practice, combining high-level negotiations with grassroots mobilization.

Founder and President of Promote Ukraine — a Brussels-based NGO awarded the European Citizen’s Prize by the European Parliament. Founder and President of Promote Freedom Foundation in Brussels and Los Angeles. Editor-in-chief of multiligual journal ‘Brussels Ukraina Review’ and YouTube Podcast ‘Unlock Ukraine’. Guest lecturer at Ukrainian Free University Munich. Consultant in the field of security and defense. Fundraised over 1 Million Euro over three years for humanitarian aid for Ukraine and the NGO Promote Ukraine that was the first Belgian legal entity employing eight Ukrainians in Belgium with the purpose to help Ukraine. Marta supervised more than 150 Ukrainian and international volunteers and more than 40 interns – students of American University, as well as students from France, Belgium and Taiwan.

As a Representative of the Ukrainian Ombudsman to the EU and Lead Candidate to the European Parliament (Voor U), she brought a unique duality of credibility: state-level legitimacy and civic trust. Combining academic discipline and activist agility, she has led more than 300 events across EU institutions and NATO, coordinated humanitarian programs with measurable impact, shaped political discourse through high-impact publications and media engagements, and built one of the most effective platforms for Ukraine-EU dialogue since 2014.

Her areas of expertise include sovereignty theory, constitutional transformation in the EU, informational security, public diplomacy, civic resilience in wartime, and the role of human rights in security architecture. She is also a sought-after keynote speaker and advisor to policymakers, institutions, and diplomatic missions across Europe and beyond.

While building her life around support of Ukraine and democracy, Marta is also bringing up her two children on her own.

Tetiana Vlizko

Tetyana Vlizko is an expert in the field of organization and control of business processes and in the field of grant activities, author of books and articles, teacher and consultant. Tetyana Vlizko has a total professional experience of over 20 years in the field of accounting and 15 years of management positions in consulting and manufacturing companies. Vlizko Tetyana has experience working with foreign companies in the EU, CIS and the USA. Throughout her professional career, she has worked with enterprises in various fields, including: services, culture, production, construction, wholesale and retail trade, aviation, catering, real estate, agriculture and others.

Since February 2022, Tetyana Vlizko has been actively participating as a volunteer in several European organizations, namely:
Member of the Board of Directors of the Public Organization “Promote Ukraine” (Belgium, Brussels),
Advisor of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Belgium and Luxembourg (Belgium, Brussels),
Advisor and Head of the Administrative Department of the Public Organization “Ukrainian Women in Greece” (Greece, Athens).

In 2020, Tetyana Vlizko published her own book “A Creative Approach to Regulatory Documents” in Ukraine.

In 2021, she provided mentoring support to the public sector in the Mentorplace project.

In 2020, she founded the public organization “Better Life for You”. By 2022, representatives of the organization helped prepare and implement many social and cultural projects, including publishing a book, shooting a music video, and a national social online beauty contest. They collaborated with organizations in the music industry, theater, and the production of cartoons and other video products.
In 2023, they initiated the preparation of a project in cooperation with organizations from three countries to support Ukrainian cultural centers, for which they won a grant from the European Commission.

Today, Tetyana considers her priority tasks to be developing the public sector both in Ukraine and abroad and promoting the social and economic development of society. Vlizko Tetyana
