President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola arrived in Ukraine on a visit.
“Good to be back in Ukraine. With those brave people who inspired the world. With those heroes who refuse to give in. With those who sacrificed everything for our values. With Europeans whose home is in our European Union,” the politician posted on Twitter.
She wrote the post in two languages – English and Ukrainian.
At the same time, Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk wrote on Facebook about his meeting with Metsola.
“Today I was glad to meet with President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola. I thanked her for her personal efforts and leadership in advocacy. I thanked for each adopted resolution in support of Ukraine. There are 17 of them! We discussed Ukraine’s path towards full-fledged membership in the European Union,” the Verkhovna Rada Chairman said.
The parties discussed many issues, including the peace formula proposed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. Ukraine calls on the world to support this initiative.
As a reminder, Roberta Metsola became the first European politician to visit Ukraine and speak before the Verkhovna Rada members last April when the situation around Kyiv was extremely tense.
