In the area of the Kerch Strait close to the illegally built bridge between Russia and the temporarily occupied Crimea (coordinates: 45.2432237; 36.5845773), the Russian invaders are preparing to sink a second ferry.

According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the occupiers plan to sink at least six ferries in order to create a protective obstacle in front of the Kerch Bridge.

The Russians intend to install floating booms between the sunken ferries. In this way, the enemy seeks to protect the Kerch Bridge from damage.

The occupiers are sinking ferries to protect the Kerch Bridge.

“Periodic successful attacks by the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine against this legitimate military target have resulted in serious damage to the bridge structure, including to its road and railway tracks. The recent strikes on the Kerch Bridge once again worsened the situation for the enemy’s troops deployed in the south of Ukraine and caused a hysterical reaction on the part of the military and political leadership of Moscow. The Kremlin demanded that the bridge, which is critically important for the military logistics of the Russian occupying army, be ensured against further strikes,” the intelligence officers said.

They stressed that such a measure of protecting the 19-km bridge by sinking ferries indicates the feverish urgency of the enemy’s decisions and the intellectual crisis within the military and political leadership of terrorist Russia.
