OSCE Records Over 2,400 Ceasefire Violations in Donbas

As of the end of November, the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM) recorded 2,492 ceasefire violations in Donbas, including 988 explosions and 1,369 bursts and shots.

Despite the agreement reached at the Trilateral Contact Group meeting in Minsk on 22 July regarding a complete and comprehensive ceasefire in Donbas, terrorists regularly open fire on the Ukrainian military.

On 15 December, in the Luhansk region, the SMM recorded 21 ceasefire violations (all undetermined explosions), 20 of which in the area south-east of Popasna (government-controlled, 69km west of Luhansk).

In addition, the Mission observed 13 tanks in violation of withdrawal lines in the non-government-controlled areas of the Donetsk region.
